Apologies for service interruption

I would like to apologise for the two incidents involving the temporary interruption of betting services at our off-course betting branches on 27 and 28 March. They are not acceptable as they did not meet the high service standards that we always strive to uphold.

Our management team and especially our IT colleagues take the incidents seriously. We are carrying out an extensive investigation as well as a comprehensive review of the systems.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our frontline colleagues at off-course betting branches for their professional attitude and performance in addressing the concern of our customers.

I am soon on my way to Dubai for the World Cup meeting and our IFHA and Asian Racing Federation meetings. It is not only a big weekend in racing with the big day in Dubai and the Osaka Hai meeting in Japan, both of which should be key pointers to our Champions Day and will provide great simulcasts for our racing fans to follow.

It is also a big weekend in Hong Kong with the Riding High Together Festival which is underway at Sha Tin. I will offer you some more thoughts upon my return to Hong Kong in advance of our Easter Monday meeting.
